Something is missing…
My family and I recently moved to another state and that’s a daunting process particularly when you factor in kids, dogs, and an abundance of household goods. About a week or so before the moving truck arrived my family and I sat down and decided we all needed to buckle down and get rid of items we no longer needed.
This is a great thing to say out loud however, actually doing it properly takes great focus and determination. The good news is everyone was up for the task and actually eager to have the opportunity to donate toys, clothes, and household goods. I was so proud of everyone but one of the last places we needed to work on was the kitchen.
My husband said to get rid of everything. We still had original pots and pans from over 2O years ago. I definitely understood his mindset yet, I still had slight reservations. But things were getting down to the wire and the movers were on the way.
I’ll fast-forward a little bit to getting settled in our new location. It was my husbands birthday and I got him a cold press juicer. He was eager to use it and quickly ran to the store to purchase items needed for juicing. He came back with a variety of fruits and vegetables and organized everything on the counter… but something was missing… I just couldn’t figure it out what else was needed. I was looking around in the cabinets and the one thing I couldn’t find was a cutting board. Thankfully, I was able to find one quickly online.
